Hi everybody! My name is Lindsay Leahr and I am the founder of SpeakEasy Speech Therapy in Wilmington, NC.
At SpeakEasy Speech Therapy, I'm passionate about helping children overcome challenges in communication and feeding — and I believe caregivers are the key to lasting success. From screenings and evaluations to personalized treatment for speech sound disorders, language disorders, feeding disorders, and more, I work hand-in-hand with families to create real progress in everyday life.

As a mom, veteran spouse, and nationally credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist, I understand how busy life can be — that's why I’ll equip you with simple, practical strategies that fit right into your daily routines. Let’s partner together to help your child grow with confidence and joy!

Services
SpeakEasy offers comprehensive speech and feeding support for children, including screenings, evaluations, and individualized therapy. Services include help with speech sound disorders, language disorders, phonological processing, and feeding challenges — all delivered with care, expertise, and a focus on visible progress.
Screening
A screening is like a quick check-up. It is not in depth, nor is it formal. This process takes a peek at if your child's speech/language skills are typical or atypical for their age and gender; it tells us if we need to do additional, formal testing.
Evaluations
An evaluation is a complete, formal, diagnostic measurement. This is a specific assessment based on parental concerns and/or the results of a screening. An evaluation tells us specific areas of need and aids in creating a treatment plan.
